Today on Mashable is a post about the amazing revalation of Nokia releasing a phone for only $20! Wow! What value, what a genius idea by Nokia, if only phone companies had thought of this before, finally we're saved from the extortionate prices of smartphone! No.
Great, they've released a new phone, but it's not the first time they've released a cheap starter phone and I'm sure won't be the last. Other companies do it to, even Tesco have one, although it's more like a pocket calculator and is I'm pretty sure it's made from bio-degradable cardboard!
This is not an awe-inspiring, incredible new release and I think Mashable might be scraping the barrel here trying to make an interesting article. The phone doesn't even look that good, just a re-hash of old tech in a slightly newer looking case. 35day battery life? Well for anyone who wasn't already aware, welcome to the world of cheap Nokias, battery life and reliability are generally what they're known for.
So Mashable, stop trying to manufacture hype for a product that really couldn't be less intersting!
